How this works
We read the vehicle's fuel type and emissions standard from the official records and compare them to the London ULEZ rules. Where we can read the exact emissions class we give a confident answer; where we can only go on the registration date we say so, and always point you to TfL to confirm.
- Petrol vehicles generally need to be Euro 4 (broadly from 2006).
- Diesel vehicles generally need to be Euro 6 (broadly from September 2015).
- Motorcycles generally need to be Euro 3.
- Electric and hydrogen vehicles are always compliant.
